Jose J. Ruiz is an executive search and leadership advisory professional, board advisor, and organizational strategist.

He is CEO and Managing Partner of Alder Koten, where he supports organizations in building and aligning leadership teams to strategy, culture, and growth. Over more than two decades, he has advised global corporations, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses on talent strategy and organizational design to strengthen leadership effectiveness and sustain long-term performance.

He also serves as Chairman of Anker Bioss, a leadership advisory firm focused on decision-making in complex, evolving environments. Through this work, he partners with clients to align organizational strength with strategy and to build the conditions for long-term talent development.
Jose’s work sits at the intersection of corporate governance, talent, and organizational development, with particular depth in family-owned and technology-driven organizations. He serves on boards and has chaired compensation committees for companies in the United States and Mexico, advising on executive compensation, succession, board effectiveness, and leadership development.

He is an active member of the Conscious Capitalism movement and advocates for stakeholder-driven business grounded in purpose, conscious leadership, and value creation for all stakeholders.

Jose holds a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and advises executives and boards navigating transformation, governance, and talent strategy.
